Ooh you never cease to surprise me! I’ve been around a tornado or two and the scenery is so expertly captured. The strangeness and the added touches of the ambulance driver really tilt this into horror nicely.

This was written as a one off but may continue one day or connect to other stories. I have a fair number of similar stories that aren't really horror and starts out grounded in the real world or is just a slice of life piece and then either gets very weird or chaotic/over the top at the end. I might put a few of those up over time

Tornadoes are definitely terrifying. This is a mixture of real and imagined. The stuff about the tornado is mostly real

I was in New Orleans for Katrina relief in 06 and 08.
Cool. I was doing the same in Gulfport and Biloxi end of 05 and early 06
